''That drunk is like that thing from Silent Hill''
On April 17-20, I was on a trip to London. I forgot to write up about it on here. This probably won't be as detailed as I'd like it to be, I should have done it the night I came back, also I've got things on my mind such as revision for an exam I have on Tuesday, then another on Friday, but here goes.

Day 1

I was really nervous about my trip. Not about the flying, just I was nervous about seeing Greg again, as the last time I saw him was late January. My brother Andrew came to pick me up to go to the International airport. My flight was around 4ish. I hate airports. I just hate having to wait and walk around the rubbish shops they have. Clockwork Orange was very disappointing, It was so small! Also I don't like it when staff are -too- polite. I want to be treated as a human being, not like some royal that's came over for a visit. And then there's the children & families on the plane...ugh (Yes, I hate children. They're Satans spawn).

So I arrived about 2 hours later at Gatwick airport. I didn't realize that Gatwick was so big, It's huge! Took me a while to find the train station area. Now, Greg had instructed me to get a ticket to Surbiton..but of course I got all confused and didn't. I ended up asking for a ticket to Clapham Junction, then at Clapham Junction asking for a ticket to somewhere else..but I ended up missing that train. I had to go back and ask for a day ticket, which was just embaressing. There's day tickets for Zones 2-6, then 1-6 (something like that, I'm probably wrong). ''Hey can I have a day ticket please.'' The woman looked at me blankly and asked me stuff about zones..I just replied 'Yeah'', assuming that It was correct. More blank looks. ''Is it zones 1-6 or 2-6? Are you going back into London?'' Finally I got the ticket in the end. I had to get a day ticket as me and Greg were both going back into the center later on. In the end, I got to Surbiton without any more embarrassment.

Later on at 9ish we went out clubbing, which was to a gaybar/club called Ghetto. I've only been to one other gaybar once, that being the Kremlin in Belfast (which was..interesting. I had a half bottle of Aftershock before I went!). It was fairly small, with a whole load of diverse & foreign people. Even when I was in the toilet booth, foreign lesbians tried to get into mine, which didn't have a lock..joyous. And it seemed like the toilet was for men and woman, or men and woman just went in and used it anyway. Now, I'm not much of a dancer and It usually takes alot to get me up on the dance floor. I wasn't even drunk that much at anytime during the evening, Greg being the opposite. So I got round to dancing/trying/vaguely attempting to dance correctly. I loved it though, even if I wasn't doing It correctly that much. But that's the whole point in dance floors. I probably would have done better if I was drunk, typically. Whenever I went to collect my jacket from the storage room, we had to give our initials (which we had to give also as we were handing in items). Remembering that I never gave my initials, I gave them anyway. Another embarrassing moment of course.

We left the club at around 2am and went about finding a way home, after Greg got a burger (do I have to always be this detailed?). There were like 6 different Taxi drivers that asked us if we wanted a lift. London is full of them! We walked around Soho, and ended up going in a complete circle back to where we originally where. Eventually we found the bus stop we were looking for, and had to wait about 30 minutes for a bus whilst some druggy chatted to us, repeating himself constantly. I also watched as some guy dropped a pound coin, which then continued to roll into a drain by the path. Bad luck. The bus journey took about an hour 30 minutes, then we had to walk a further 30 minutes to Surbiton as the last bus had went from Kingston to Surbiton. I was absolutely shivering.

Day 2

The second day was fairly quiet. We were going to go into London, but as it gotten later and as we'd woken up so late (hungover, aching), then we watched loads of Green Wing season 1, then we decided to go to Kingston. Kingstons quite nice even if it is just a fairly small suburb. There was this store called Shakeaway (think of a kids version of Starbucks with milkshakes). Greg got a milkshake which had Nutella in it. It was fucking delicious. We also visited this rather big mall, which had an Apple Store (no, not the fruity kind)! We don't have one in Belfast yet, although there's one opening up in Victoria Square. After that we headed back as the rain had begun. Food, Green Wing, bed. Well It wasn't that simple..we watched something else, I think. Maybe? I forget.

Day 3

The third day started off the same, more and more Green Wing, which I've fallen in love with (and an entire second series to get through!), then we decided to go to the center. We walked along the River Thames and found the Tate gallery, which was full of interesting and amazing sculptures/paintings. Admittedly It could have been better If we were there earlier and I wasn't starving. Went round to the Waterloo station again and into the more central part. Walked around where all the shops are and went into UT, which is full of Asian clothing for men and woman. I got 2 cute shirts, one of which has a Japanese face in the front of it (I'll upload photos later). As we were both hungry, as planned we went round to Chinatown. There are so many restaurants here! Before we went into one, I got Pocky! I love it :) I munched on a piece when looking at a menu at the front of the restaurant we went into, as you do. We got a set meal for 2, and It's the best asian food I've had. I was fully stuffed after it, and It only came to a total of £26ish. I'd definitely go there again. After the meal we went on a dander, stopping to eat some more pocky, then went back to the train station. On the way, we passed a drunk that was screaming and, well, Greg said ''That drunk is like that thing from Silent Hill'', referring to the Lying Figure in Silent Hill 2. This description suited the drunk perfectly, except not having an opening in his chest to spew acidic gas/liquid...though I suppose he could spew cheap alcohol out of his mouth. That counts, right?

That's it really. I really loved London, and it was great seeing Greg again!

I'll be at the Miyavi concert on June 25th! If your going, let's meet up and stuff!

You know *I'm* going to Miyavi, yes? I thought it was implied.

My favourite quote from that evening:

Random Gay- "You two are so cute, it makes me sick."
Me- "Luv, it's alright, most gays are a little bit bulimic anyway."

Ah, I assumed that It was just one ticket you got, as I thought you were back in Ireland at that time. That's awesome, though :)

Haha I forgot about that guy!
